We believe that learning about responsible pet ownership as well as animal safety and care needs to start early. As part of our community outreach activities, Vets on Parker offer regular visits to local preschools and kindergartens.

The goal of our visit is to promote a better understanding of animals and foster a sense of curiosity about the animal kingdom by discussing topics such as how to treat animals well and how to behave safely around them as well as how to choose, prepare for and care for a pet. At the end of the session, students will have a greater appreciation of animal behaviour as well as the joys and challenges of pet ownership and perhaps most importantly, understand how to behave safely and responsibly around animals.

All our school and kindergarten visits end with a Q and A session where our presenter will happily answer students’ questions about anything and everything to do with pet ownership and animal behaviour.
