The Vets on Parker’s kitten adoption program (run in conjunction with Maneki Neko Cat Rescue) provides a nonprofit service housing, caring for and rehoming orphan kittens in Melbourne. This prevents the unnecessary euthanasia of homeless kittens and allows us to provide healthy, happy pets to our clients.
Each kitten that goes through our adoption program will be:
- Health checked by one of our veterinarians;
- Microchipped
- Vaccinated with a F3 (flu and enteritis) vaccination
- Treated for fleas
- Dewormed
If you choose to adopt a kitten from Vets on Parker, you will receive a full history (as far as we know it) and a vaccination certificate for their new pet. In addition, you will be provided with a kitten startup kit and a discount voucher for de-sexing. In the week after adoption, Vets on Parker offer complimentary health checks to ensure your kitten is developing and settling into your new home.
If you are looking for a kitten to be a new member of your family, just call in to see our orphans or check this page to view our kittens currently available for adoption.
About Maneki Neko Cat Rescue
Maneki Neko Cat Rescue is a not for profit, volunteer run organisation dedicated to rescuing, rehabilitating and rehoming cats and kittens in Melbourne. Established in 2012, the rescue aims to reduce euthanasia rates and increase both re-claiming and re-homing rates in the local community. Vets on Parker is proud to be partnered with Maneki Neko and almost all of the kittens which come through our adoption program are rescued by this organisation.
