Dr. Kevin Foster

BVSc (Hons) MVS

Kevin is passionate about caring for cats, dogs, small animals, reptiles and their people. He is delighted to be part of Vets on Parker: a genuine family practice. Kevin trained as a veterinary surgeon at the University of Melbourne and graduated with honours. He has recently completed a postgraduate certificate and masters degree in small animal medicine and surgery.

Kevin worked for several years in Sydney at a busy small animal clinic and emergency veterinary hospital before moving back to Melbourne in 2010. Kevin became the principal vet at Vets on Parker in early 2011.

He thoroughly enjoys looking after the family pets of Templestowe and enjoys participating in community life. Kevin has an Airedale Terrier named Macy and looks after his family’s Cavalier King Charles Spaniels on a regular basis.

Dr Kevin hosts Pets Practice with Dr Kevin and is series vet for Animal Extra. He’s appeared on The Project, Ten News and Light FM as well as in the Herald Sun and Leader Newspapers.

Dr. Sarah Thorpe

BVSc MVS

Sarah is passionate about providing outstanding patient care and supporting our clients through the fun and challenges of pet ownership. Graduating from The University of Melbourne in 2010, Sarah joined the Vets on Parker team in 2012 and completed a Masters in Veterinary Studies (Small Animal Practice) in 2017. With a keen interest in medicine Sarah enjoys managing chronic and complex medical conditions, in particular the care of geriatric patients and supporting her clients in how to best care for their elderly pets.

Sarah’s love of cats is evident as she calmly and confidently cares for her feline patients, making them feel at ease whilst at the clinic. She has played an instrumental role in the veterinary care of hundreds of rescue cats, working closely with Maneki Neko Cat Rescue. At home Sarah enjoys spending time with her young active family and her two cheeky rescue cats Gerald and Kelly. Gerald has given Sarah personal experience in managing diabetes as he has been treated successfully with dietary management and insulin since his diagnosis in 2018.

Dr. Kassy Sainsbury

BVSc

Kassy joins the team on weekends and has over 10 years’ experience as a veterinarian. Kassy’s clients enjoy her honest and down to earth approach. She has a particular interest in the mental health of her patients and in dermatology.  Born and bred locally, Kassy graduated from Sydney University and has spent time working around Australia, in the UK and in Dubai.

Dr. Bree Cashmore

BVSc

Bree joined the team at Vets on Parker in February. She has over 7 years’ experience as a veterinarian and she has thoroughly enjoyed becoming part of the team. Bree recently moved into the local area and is looking forward to many years ahead caring for her clients and looking after their much-loved pets.

Dr. Erica Chan

BSc DVM

Erica is originally from Eltham and remembers driving past Vets on Parker regularly when growing up. She is therefore super excited to have come full circle and joined the fantastic team at Vets on Parker.  She holds a Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree from the University of Melbourne, and looks forward to providing high quality veterinary care to all local families and their pets.

Erica loves being active and spending time outdoors – a passion shared by Ralph, her Rhodesian Ridgeback X Cattle Dog. She also loves coffee and good food, and wishes Ralph had better ‘café manners’ so that he could share this passion with her too.

Dr. Emily McKee

BVSc

Emily trained as a veterinary surgeon at the University of Melbourne and is passionate about small animals and she particularly enjoys caring for dogs, cats and rabbits!  In her spare time she loves to spend time with her ragdoll, Shyloh and her Samoyed named ‘Woolamai’ and hit the surf down at Phillip Island.

Dr. Cindy Lo

BVSc(Hons)

Cindy has a special interest in surgery, and has completed further studies with the University of Sydney to advance her surgical skills. She enjoys the life changing aspect seen after a successful surgical procedure. It absolutely
warms her heart when she sees her patients regain their normal behavior!

Cindy not only is fluent in English, she is also fluent in Cantonese and Mandarin as she was born in Hong Kong. She welcomes clients to communicate with her in any of these 3 languages in consultations.

Cindy is hoping to adopt a Mini Dachshund in the near future.

Dr. Nicola Tse

Dr. Ruby Lovelock

Ruby studied veterinary medicine at the University of Melbourne and is excited to have joined the compassionate and knowledgeable team at Vets on Parker. Ruby believes that the relationship we have with animals is super important, and the opportunity to help them all – big, small, furred or otherwise – is something she really values.

Ruby is currently mum to her grumpy (but secretly sweet as sugar) rescue cat BB, and wolfhound x Rhodesian ridgeback Nala, who has a heart of gold.

Ruby has special interests in native Australian wildlife, animal welfare, and community engagement.

Dr Sanchi Aggarwal

Sanchi joined our team in 2020. As a pet owner herself, she understands the joy an animal can bring to our lives. She looks forward to caring for our animal community while also providing owners with support through the highs and lows of pet ownership.

Danielle Cowburn

She started her nursing career at a busy 24 hour emergency clinic where she was exposed to many interesting and exciting cases. Danielle volunteers with Wildlife Victoria as a rescue and transport officer and has done extensive volunteer work overseas with the street dogs in Nepal and Peru. Danielle is a foster carer and is currently looking after a beautiful 7 year old bull terrier.

Madeleine Sargent

Growing up in country NSW, Maddi has always loved being surrounded by all animals big and small. After completing her nursing placement Maddi joined the Vets on Parker team in 2017. She has two mischievous cats, Mozart and Willow and is particularly passionate about feline medicine, animal welfare and education.

Amy Wang

Amy is currently undertaking the Bachelor of Science at the University of Melbourne, and aspires to become a veterinarian one day. As a cattery attendant Amy feels lucky to really get to know and form strong bonds with the feline clients of the clinic.

Her other passions include owning too many plants, arts and crafts, photography and spoiling her boisterous Doberman Pinscher, Tyson.

Jessica Page

Jessie was born and raised in country Victoria and has a keen interest in animals and animal well-being. She has spent time volunteering at the RSPCA, Blue Cross and Animal Aid and completed several courses related to animal welfare. Recently she has started her Certificate IV in Veterinary Nursing and finds the experience both challenging and rewarding. Jess joined Vets on Parker as a volunteer in February 2018 and has since joined the staff as a Cattery Attendant. The knowledge Jess is acquiring from the friendly team has been invaluable and she looks forward to the next phase of her studies and career. Jess spends most of her free time with her beloved fur baby, Sam the Pomeranian.

Catherine Steer

Catherine has always known that she would spend her life working with animals. Her passion for animal welfare and conservation led her to volunteering for the RSPCA and wildlife rescuers before starting her nursing career at Vets on Parker. Catherine has completed a bachelor’s degree in Animal and Veterinary Biosciences from La Trobe university and is currently completing her certificate IV in veterinary nursing.

Catherine’s pawfect family includes two senior citizens, Oscar the bichon x and Butch the mixture of everything. In her spare time she loves to read, hike and make daisy chains.

Joanne Amos

Joanne hails from a small country town called Sea Lake where she grew up surrounded by a large range of animals. After completing her Bachelor in Animal and Veterinary Biosciences she joined the team at Vets on Parker in 2010. She enjoys the constant learning experience that working in the Veterinary industry gives her, and watching how innovated changes to medicine benefit our patients and clients alike. When not at work Joanne is kept busy as a director at Maneki Neko Cat Rescue, a non for profit cat rescue organization that came about by a conversation in our own waiting room! Often referred to as our crazy cat lady Joanne can usually be seen with a carrier of kitten bottle babies in tow.

Victoria Macleod

Victoria has always wanted to work with animals for as long as she can remember. She pursued her passion in animals by completing a diploma of Animal Technology at box hill tafe, leading to a job here in the cattery at Vets on Parker. She loves spending time with all the cats giving each one of them tons of cuddles!! Victoria hopes to continue studying to be a Veterinary nurse!

Victoria has two mischievous dogs, Stanley a Spoodle and Max a Westie cross Scottie. She also has a very affectionate rescue rabbit called John cena and is always fostering heaps of tiny kittens!!

Emily Roberts

Emily grew up local to the area in Eltham. After working with the community, she decided on a career change and to follow her life long passion that she has for animals both big and small. She is keen to see where this new adventure will take her and the opportunities it may lead to. Emily’s first rescue is her dog Mondo, an energetic boy who is a bit of everything. Since then she has surrounded herself with rescue animals, adding Aster the beaglier to the family and hand raising 2 lambs Daisy and Poppy, who are now 2 very spoilt sheep and 2 Alpacas Lenni and Carl. Emily loves spending her weekends with all her fur family on their property in Mansfield.

Mollie McArthur

Growing up on a farm in regional Victoria, Mollie has always loved being around all kinds of animals. She completed her high school work experience at Vets on Parker over 8 years ago, and has now returned to follow her passion and hopes to complete her Certificate IV in Veterinary Nursing.

Liz Whyte

Liz grew up in Gippsland where her love of animals and the environment first began. After completing a science degree, Liz worked with special needs kids. She was trained by the Royal Children’s Hospital to help look after sick patients in their homes, as well as doing integration work in kindergartens. However, Liz’s true calling was always with animals, so she is loving her new career at Vets on Parker while completing her Certificate IV in Veterinary Nursing.

Liz and her family can often be seen walking their 2 energetic border collies around Westerfolds Park. They also have 2 lovely guinea pigs – a couple of old ladies who are very pampered.

Kath Apostolopoulos

Kath began her career in the animal industry at a young age by pet sitting for family and friends. She graduated with a Certificate II in Animal Studies in 2018 and continued her studies completing her Certificate IV in Veterinary Nursing in 2020. Kath currently has a cat called Clio but hopes to one day expand her fur family to include a variety of animals.

Amba Lang

Amba has spent the last 10 years growing up on a family owned Equestrian Centre in Warrandyte South. She has many animals of her own including horses, dogs, cats and goats. In light of this she has developed a strong desire to be more actively involved in animal care. With a background in customer service, Amba prides herself on providing a positive experience for our furry friends and their families. Amba is currently studying a combined course of Certificate III in Animal Studies and
Certificate IV in Veterinary Nursing with the Australian College of Veterinary Nursing; she hopes to become a Veterinary Nurse in the near future.

Bella Pollock

Bella has always been passionate about caring for animals. She spent most of her life growing up in Singapore helping rescue and rehome street cats, one of whom she adopted and still has to this day. She also has two crazy beagles who have travelled the world with her. Currently she is completing her Certificate IV in Veterinary Nursing at ACAAS where she handles animals of all shapes and sizes from puppies and kittens to goats and horses. She is very passionate about wildlife conservation and zoology and hopes to further continue her education.

Vicky Smith

Originally from the UK, Vicky grew up developing a huge passion for animals and their welfare. Vicky has over 7 years of experience in the field and a Bachelor of Science degree in Animal Management and Welfare that she completed in the UK. Shortly after completing this degree Vicky made the big move to Australia along with her husband to follow her dreams to work with animals and rescue native wildlife. 

Daisy (pictured) is her much loved rescue dog of 7 years. She is loving and loyal and considered a regular member of the Vets on Parker family, with her relaxed nature making her the perfect companion dog. Vicky has a young son, and in her spare time loves drawing and taking long walks with Daisy.
